Grind Preference:

This sugarcane decaf is a standout in the decaf world—sweet, smooth, and full of character. With notes of Kahlua and cocoa, it offers mild acidity and a gentle sweetness, making it a reliable go-to for those seeking a flavorful cup without the caffeine.

Sourced from select producers across Huila, this lot features Castillo, Caturra, and Colombia varieties grown at elevations between 1,400–2,000 MASL. After harvesting, the coffee is washed and then decaffeinated using ethyl acetate (EA) derived from fermented sugarcane.

The EA process is natural, clean, and highly selective—removing caffeine while preserving the coffee’s original flavor. It starts by steaming the green coffee to open its pores, then soaking it in a solution of water and EA. Over several hours, the EA bonds with the caffeine and extracts it. The coffee is then steamed again, dried, and polished for export.

This decaf is so good, most people wouldn’t know it’s decaf unless you told them.
